Food Pantry is attracting New Volunteer teams as summer heats up

School is Out…Summer is Here…Volunteer Teams are growing As the pandemic lingers and fuel prices soar, the need for food support is increasing as we move into the summer months. Summer kids bags have been prepared with non-perishable snacks, hygiene items and a coloring book. Now that school is out, requests for this critical support is on the rise. We are blessed to partner with incredible organizations like Jones County Partnership for Children, Coastal Women’s Shelter, N.C. Cooperative Extension and the church partners to identify needs quickly and fill them.

We delivered two boxes of new orthopedic items and 80 cards to Brook Stone Living Facility, washed windows, painted the old loading dock, delivered cabinets and doors to Habitat for Humanity and distributed food boxes from the Food Pantry. These incredible young adults quickly adopted the mission statement of assisting in filling unmet needs to the residents of Jones County. Thank you again Epiphany for partnering and bringing “Love In Action” to The Filling Station.
