Today was a special day at The Filling Station. The Food Pantry Volunteers were invited to meet in the Board Room to hear a special announcement and have a celebration cake. In the 2020-2021 report from the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC, it was reported that the percentage has increased to 25%. The Filling Station is among the Top Agencies in the county assisting with filling unmet needs in the areas of Nutrition, Education, and Connection. Read MoreDuring the week of March 21, 2022, we served 177 households with over 60 volunteer hours assisting with filling unmet needs in the areas of Nutrition Education and Connection. These beautiful, nutritious boxes are made possible by partnership with Religious Community Services from New Bern, NC, Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC and our church partners. The flowers were delivered by a client who picks up boxes for his family.
