Mission
Our mission is to assist with filling unmet needs in the areas of Nutrition, Education and Connection serving the residents of Jones County.
Hours of Operation - Nutrition and Education
Tuesday, 9AM until all Food Boxes are distributed (Drive-through service only)
Wednesday - Closed
Thursday, 9AM until all Food Boxes are distributed (Drive-through service only)
Second Week of the Month - Commodity Supplement Food Program for Seniors
Friday - Closed
"Leave a Legacy" by purchasing a brick along the sidewalk leading to the front doors of The Filling Station
This sidewalk represents the many footsteps of volunteers, donors, clients, partners, pastors and elected officials.
During this special campaign, you have the opportunity to honor those who have made this mission possible.

Thank you to several Jones County Businesses for supportingNeuse River Bridge Run which in turn supportsThe Filling Station. We received a donation to be able to purchase200 back packs and fill it with so many wonderful donations/non perishable snacks and other wonderful goodies. Back to School was held on Sat, Aug 13th at theJones County Civic CenterEach child picked up a brand NEW backpack.

Thank you to International Paper for a beautification grant. Weeds have been pulled, dirt was delivered by AB’s Gravel Driveways, and new flowerbeds have begun with caladium bulbs. The walkway has been expanded to accommodate a new design with red bricks highlighted by hand-made mosaic tiles. The building will be more accessible with the expanded walkway and handicapped parking. Thank you again for the volunteers and funding from International Paper.

On Saturday, July 16, 2022, the Board of Directors met at The Father’s Refuge in Dover, NC for the Annual Board Training. Everyone was welcomed by Scott Murphy, Executive Director of The Father’s Refuge and served a home-cooked meal. (https://mxnetwork.org) Mary Ann LeRay, Executive Director, and Cathy Smith, Strategic Planning Consultant led the training for the afternoon. The Board of Directors reviewed the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan and made no changes. The group worked together on 2022 SWOT analysis to determine areas of growth and areas that need fine tuning.
