Food Pantry

Filling unmet needs, one household at a time.

The Filling Station Food Pantry helps provide food for our neighbors in Jones County. Through the generosity of food donors, community partners, and volunteers, we distribute food boxes to households who need a little extra support.

Our Food Pantry is more than a place to pick up food. It is a place where neighbors are welcomed, volunteers serve with care, and our community comes together to make sure no one has to face a difficult season alone.

Serving our neighbors throughout the year

The Filling Station Food Pantry operated 48 weeks in 2025 and served more than 200 households each week. Behind every food box is a community of people choosing to share their time, resources, and care.

That year, our community donated 480,222 pounds of food. Volunteers contributed more than 300 hours each month to help organize food and serve households. We are grateful for every person who helps keep this work moving.

A growing capacity to serve

In 2025, The Filling Station completed a new food warehouse with refrigeration, freezer units, and additional space to support Food Pantry operations. This new capacity helps us receive, organize, and distribute more food as we continue filling unmet needs in Jones County.

We are especially thankful for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, Blue Cross NC, local farms, churches, businesses, civic groups, and individual donors who help make healthy food access possible.

Food is one part of a bigger mission

The Filling Station’s mission is to assist with filling unmet needs in Nutrition, Education, and Connection for the residents of Jones County.

The Food Pantry is part of that mission. Along with food assistance, The Filling Station connects neighbors from Pollocksville, Trenton, Maysville, Comfort, and throughout Jones County with education, volunteers, community partners, and opportunities to serve. When we work together, we strengthen the whole community.
