The Filling Station is your connection point for community events and services for March 2025. Residents can sign up for the Neuse River Bridge Run and Spring Canning Classes. Health enthusiasts will love the featured Solis Green Medley Smoothie Bowl recipe—a nutrient-packed, customizable option perfect for energizing your day.

The Food Pantry continues to serve the community every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30-10:00 AM, with the Commodity Supplement Food Program for Seniors (60+ years) available on the second Tuesday and Thursday of the month from 9-11 AM.

Solis Green Medley Smoothie Bowl

Full of nutrients to help you make it through your day, our Solis Green Medley Smoothie Bowl is tasty and completely customizable. Simply blend the ingredients together, add your choice of toppings, and enjoy, knowing you’ve made a great dietary choice.
Ingredients
1 large ripe banana80 g (½ cup) frozen pineapple80 g (½ cup) frozen mango2 large handfuls of spinach1 scoop (15 cc) Solis Green Medley120-240 ml (½-1 cup) non-dairy milk (depending on thickness preferred)Toppings (optional)
Method
Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until creamy and smoothSlowly add in milk to reach desired consistencyWhen desired consistency is reached, pour into bowlTop with desired toppings
Hints & Tips
  • Top with berries, fresh fruits, sliced banana, nuts or seeds, coconut flakes, or anything you prefer!
  • If you’d like to add some protein, feel free to add Be Refueled Vanilla, Triple Protein Shake: Vanilla, or Vegan Protein Shake: Vanilla.

New Year, New You!

New Year, New You! Help kick off your 2025 Fitness Goals by strengthening and stretching with our Yoga class, instructed by Cert. Yoga Instructor Stephen Parker. 

First class is Jan 7th at 6pm, Jones County Civic Center. $10 per class for adults, $8 for teens. Participants may register online or at the door before class.
