Our mission is to assist with filling unmet needs in the areas of Nutrition, Education and Connection serving the residents of Jones County.
Hours of Operation - Nutrition and Education
Tuesday, 9AM until all Food Boxes are distributed (Drive-through service only)
Wednesday - Closed
Thursday, 9AM until all Food Boxes are distributed (Drive-through service only)
Second Week of the Month - Commodity Supplement Food Program for Seniors
Friday - Closed
"Leave a Legacy" by purchasing a brick along the sidewalk leading to the front doors of The Filling Station
This sidewalk represents the many footsteps of volunteers, donors, clients, partners, pastors and elected officials.
During this special campaign, you have the opportunity to honor those who have made this mission possible.

Jones County Commissioners celebrate the good news from the Governor’s Office and N.C. Commission on Community Service and Volunteerism. On Tuesday, April 19th, Mary Ann LeRay, Executive Director of The Filling Station, made a presentation to the Jones County Commissioners to seek grant support for “transporting healthy foods”. The commissioners unanimously voted to approve a $5000 grant to The Filling Station. In addition, the good news was shared that The Food Pantry Volunteer Group is one of the 22 Governor Medallion Award winners in the State of NC. This is the highest volunteer honor in the state. When Oxford Press closed its operations in Cary, NC, DPR Construction worked with Scott Ladner, Raymond Carolina Handling Company, to find an organization in need of a generous donation. “We were overwhelmed to receive the call and find out many of our wish list items were being donated,” says Mary Ann LeRay, Executive Director. There had been many conversations about how nice it would be to have board room chairs for our Board of Directors, who represent 12 churches in Jones County. Thank you to International Paper’s New Bern Mill for donating $500 to The Filling Station front lawn beautification and access project. Spring and Summer are here. Volunteers are ready to dig in the dirt and create a beautiful landscape around the building. “We welcome this beautiful gift of $500 and continued partnership with International Paper”, says Mary Ann LeRay, Executive Director.

Once a month Jane Peele leads a dance class for a homeschool group from Maysville. We are delighted to partner with ADT and offer this wonderful, dance education for 12-14 students once a month.
