Jones Onslow Electric makes donation

In May 2022, Linda Mathiasen made a visit to The Filling Station to present a $1500 check to the mission of assisting unmet needs in the areas of Nutrition, Education and Connection. Jones Onslow has offered support, media coverage and critical financial resources since Hurricane Florence. They are a powerful, integral partner who knows how to spread the good news of filling needs. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve the residents of Jones County with this generous support. Food Pantry is attracting New Volunteer teams as summer heats up

School is Out…Summer is Here…Volunteer Teams are growing As the pandemic lingers and fuel prices soar, the need for food support is increasing as we move into the summer months. Summer kids bags have been prepared with non-perishable snacks, hygiene items and a coloring book. Now that school is out, requests for this critical support is on the rise. We are blessed to partner with incredible organizations like Jones County Partnership for Children, Coastal Women’s Shelter, N.C. Cooperative Extension and the church partners to identify needs quickly and fill them.

Pike seeks to give back to Jones County

Landon Pike reached out to The Filling Station in the Fall of 2021 to learn how he could partner in giving back to the county where he grew up.  After several planning meetings with the Eagle Scout leader and presenting to the scout board, the project was approved. Filling Station chosen as Charitable Partner for an event in Raleigh

Pop Up Raleigh is celebrating its 10th year supporting small businesses. This is event happens on the 3rd Saturday of each month on the campus of Trophy Brewery located on Maywood Avenue in Raleigh, NC NEW this year…a charitable partner is chosen to set up at the event. The Filling Station was on site Saturday, May 21st. The Compton and Ladner Families who are Raleigh based and support The Filling Station mission were on site sharing their story about why they donate their time, talent and treasure. The Epiphany School wraps up 3 weeks of service at The Filling Station

15 High Seniors…350 Volunteer Hours…Spring Cleaning Projects What a wonderful gift to host a group of excited, focused, creative young people from May 9-26! We delivered two boxes of new orthopedic items and 80 cards to Brook Stone Living Facility, washed windows, painted the old loading dock, delivered cabinets and doors to Habitat for Humanity and distributed food boxes from the Food Pantry. These incredible young adults quickly adopted the mission statement of assisting in filling unmet needs to the residents of Jones County. Thank you again Epiphany for partnering and bringing “Love In Action” to The Filling Station.
