The 1st Volunteer Orientation and Onboarding Session took place on Feb 17th in the Board Room on campus. 13 volunteers were present for the orientation which included the history of the organization and safety guidelines while serving our clients. “It is our goal to provide orientation and annual training for all individuals associated with The Filling Station.” We are grateful to Garber Methodist Church, one of our church partners, for the donation so educational monitors could be purchased.

Glass Project at The Filling Station

Front Glass Panes were installed on The Filling Station building during the week of Feb 14th. Craven Glass Company was hired to install the new, tinted, insulated, tempered units. This addition to the renovation of the building will keep energy costs low while enhancing the campus on Main Street in Pollocksville. The Filling Station serves over 650 households each month and is also home to several partners who provide services to the residents of Jones County. Thank you, Ed Jekel, Facilities Manager, and John Taylor, Building and Ground Chair, for overseeing this project.
