The upcoming holidays can be a difficult time for those who are experiencing loss in their lives.  Carol Jackson, Cardinal Hospice Healthcare, is providing education, information and support for those who are dealing with grief and loss.

We are thrilled to be a recipient of the 2024 Weisser Foundation grant to fund the Teaching Kitchen program. “Thank you to Jill Thompson, Executive Director, for believing in our mission and wonderful support throughout the application process. Jones County Government will begin accepting supplies to help with relief in Western North Carolina beginning tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM at the Jones County Civic Center.  A flyer will be uploaded to social media pages within the hour.  Emergency Management and Law Enforcement staff are coordinating the effort to take these supplies to a preferred location to exhaust any chaos. Supplies will be accepted until otherwise noted. Coordination has begun with the Volunteer Fire Department to see what members are prepared to volunteer by way of QRV or tankers.
